Assessing the Costs of Climate Change and Adaptation in South Asia

This ADB report synthesises the results and recommendations from country and sector studies on the economic impacts of efforts to combat climate change in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka. It begins with a situational analysis and methodology, then moves on to the impacts of climate change and adaptation efforts, and finishes with recommendations for possible future responses.

Preparing Low-Emission Climate-Resilient Development Strategies: A UNDP Guidebook

This document is a summary of UNDP work towards assisting developing countries to prepare low-emission, climate-resilient development strategies. It offers key points and summaries from a series of materials produced, which provide step-by-step guidance on how to identify key stakeholders and establish participatory planning and coordination frameworks. The series covers how to generate climate change profiles and vulnerability scenarios; how to identify and prioritise mitigation and adaptation option assessments of financing requirements; and how to develop low-emission, climate-resilient roadmaps for project development, policy instruments and financial flows.

Leveraging Private Finance for Clean Energy: A summary of proposed tools for leveraging private sector investment in developing countries

This Global Climate Network (GCN) and Centre for American Progress memo is intended as a companion to the GCN report, Investing in Clean Energy: How can developed countries best help developing countries finance climate-friendly energy investments? The memo is aimed at policy makers, financiers and experts, and it gives information on five financial instruments proposed by the GCN in the main report. The proposed instruments have the potential to leverage private sector capital for clean energy projects in developing countries.
