Climate Change Adaptability for Local Self-Governments in Coastal Kerala

The report presents a review of the climate change challenges that coastal Kerala coast faces, along with examining challenges faced by the marine fishing communities. It also examines the unique status of Kerala’s Local Self Government Institutes (LSGIs), explores the potential means of mainstreaming climate change adaptation strategies into their development plans, and presents a framework of adaptation strategies within the ambit of the development functions handled by the LSGIs of the state.
